UV Gel Nails

UV gel nail is a type of artificial nail that is fast becoming popular. They are a better alternative than the other types of artificial nails as they look more natural and give your nail more glossier impression. It is always safe to get your UV gel nails done in a salon by a professional. It is a type of odorless gel that is applied on a person’s nail and is then cured. Mostly gel nails are cured with ultraviolet light and sometimes even chemical is used to set the gel nails. However, UV application is most preferred. To set the UV gel nails a manicure first apply the gel on the surface of the nails. The gel is a blend a polymers and monomers. The fingers are then set under ultraviolet lights and allowed to harden.

Once your manicurist is complete with the curing process you can decorate your new nails in any kind of preferred style you want. The chemical application of gel nail is known as no-light gel. It is called so because in this process curing is done without the help of UV lights. Here a manicurist sprays or brush the nail with a chemical. The nail gel can also be cured just by dipping it into water. Regardless of whatever method you treat your nail with it renders you the same effect.

There are however, some down points of gel nails particularly when compared with acrylic nails. Firstly, they are weaker compared to acrylic nails. Next, the nails break like shatter glass pieces which make them hard to repair. Lastly, filing is the only process by which it can be removed.
